How to tackle your goals in Q4

View Post jump arrow down

I cant believe we are in Q4, which means if you are a business owner you are strategizing and planning out your goals for the back half of the year. I feel like I accomplished so much this year, but I cant stop there. I have to continue going hard in the paint, and making moves! I just typed that, and don’t even know what that means (lol). What I am trying to say is don’t stop working hard because its holiday time. It is easy to give up the fight, or talk  yourself out of accomplishing your goals because we have only a few months left to conquer them all. I am not only writing this post for you all, but for myself as well to make sure that I stick to the plan.

I am literally jumping into my goals like its the new year already, because Q4 is the preparation for what is to come in the new year. I challenge you to follow these steps in order to make sure you are on the right track. If you haven’t even started any of the steps, its okay because there is no day like TODAY. So get it done, and make  yourself proud. REMEMBER, do it for yourself; you deserve it!

  1. Q4 Strategy: Before you can even accomplish anything, it is always good to start off with a plan. Jot down your top 5 goals, and then at least 3 bullet points for each goal on action steps you are going to take to accomplish those 5 goals.
  2. Meeting: Ahmad and I always have a meeting in regards to whats next. We review our business plans, figure out what we may need to tweak, and give ourselves timelines.
  3. Calendar: Now its time to jot all your deadlines down and put them on you calendar. You want to make sure you are setting realistic timeframes for yourself, that way you wont get overwhelmed.
  4. Check-In and Adjust if needed: It is okay if your plan changes throughout the process. New deals may come, some may drop off, and new ideas can foster. You want to be able to make sure you are adjusting your goals throughout. If I showed you my 2018 goals paper that I started in January you would see check marks of the things I’ve accomplished, then lines scratched through things that I was unable to get to or didn’t do. I think being realistic with yourself helps you accomplish more at the end of the day.

My end of the years goals have been adjusted, and I am ready to take on the last few months of the year. I know for sure that I may not be able to get to it all, but hey there is always next year!

Have you guys started your goal planning yet?
