Top Resorts to Visit this Spring & Summer

View Post jump arrow down

My job has given me the opportunity to stay at some of the best resorts around the world. I wanted to round up my favorites and put them on the blog so you can reference the list when needed. I am going to share all the details, and 1 kid friendly resort that we are already planning to go back to. Before we dive in, I want to share how I book majority of my hotels and resort stays. Last October I was introduced to a site called Safara that offers a plethora of hotel and resort options that gives you 10% back from every booking. We booked our trip to Nickelodeon Resort and earned $429 back which I then used towards my hotel in Denver. Hello, SAVING MONEY! Safara has been a game changer for booking hotels, so make sure to check out the site and sign up HERE! Ok, now on to the LIST!

The list below are not in any particular order*

Palm Heights, Grand Cayman- I actually found out about Palm Heights when searching Safara for hotels in Grand Cayman. This beautiful property is nestled right on Seven Mile Beach, and is one of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Where do I start? Our entire experience was so amazing that I honestly have no complaints. The property has an amazing host, Bambi, that greeted us as soon as we walked into the lobby. He was full of laughter and joy our entire stay. He even came and set with us at dinner one night, splashed around in the ocean with us, and just made our stay feel more like home. All of the rooms are such a vibe, offering a dedicated living space, bedroom, and large bathroom. I loved how the bedroom was its own “room” separate from the living room because once again it made me feel like I was at home, and when it was time to turn in I was going to a dedicated space to retreat for the night. They offer several pillow options as well, which was amazing because most times hotels only offer one pillow and its usually too soft or firm. Our room had a view of the pool and ocean which was nice. All of the restaurants on property were also top notch. They were not only a vibe, but the food was very tasteful. If you like to adventure away like us, then take a scooter down the street and up the scenic road to town where there are even more restaurants and bars. We took the scooters at 10pm and felt safe and even road them back to the hotel. The hotel even has Supper Club nights where they have a live performer and a 4 course dinner on the rooftop. It was fun and made a cute date night for #DearAhmad and I. If you are looking for a boutique hotel in the Carribean with the best interior design flare I’ve seen, then check out Palm Heights. Perfect for couples, or girls getaway! Check out my highlight on IG to view more of the trip in detail.

Etéreo Auberge Resort, Riviera Maya – DSW hosted Ahmad and I on a couples trip to Etéreo, and lets just say they pulled out all the bells and whistles for us. The property was absolutely beyond beautiful that opens out to a white sand beach. Now if you have been to Riviera Maya and Tulum then you know that the beaches are hit or miss because of all of the seaweed. Well good news, Etéreo has no seaweed! The water is shallow where we were but it was perfect and clear. The rooms are large and we had a suite with a large balcony with glass doors that opened to the view of the beach. The cuisine at Etéreo was so delicious. The native ingredients is what made the food so good, and one of the nights” at dinner they served us dishes using all of the chefs grandmas recipes; lets just say we had the “itis” afterwards, it was so good! Sugar Beach Viceroy Resort, St. Lucia – I remember back in college, Trenace and I always dreamed about going to St. Lucia. Fast forward to now and I went and didn’t want to leave. It was everything I had dreamed of and more. The people, the culture, the views, the food – all amazing! We stayed in the luxury cottages which were more like one bedroom homes. The cottages are huge with wrap around porches, private entrances, private pools looking out to the mountains, large bathrooms, and even your own porch. The food on the the resort wasn’t my favorite to be honest, but we went and ate at local restaurants that were good, as the native residents where the ones making the food. The resort has a beautiful beach, which is rocky, but they have several large beach beds in the water that you can lay out on. You can also take a boat for the day with a captain which leaves right from the property. They have a large spa, with a super unique entrance, and as mentioned before, the best VIEWS I’ve ever seen. Paradero, Todos Santos –  I had seen Paradero Hotel on the gram over a year ago and wanted to go because it had similar vibes as Amangiri but more affordable. Its a quick flight from Houston into SJB (Cabo airport) and the resort offers a car service that will take you to the property. As soon as you arrive you feel like you are in the desert on a luxury vacation. If you are looking to unplug, unwind, and relax then Paradero is where you want to go. The only con on the property is that there is only 1 restaurant, but the pro is that they menu does change and its a large enough menu that you can eat something different everyday. You can read more about my stay HERE (an entire blog post dedicated to Paradero) and check out my highlight on IG to view more of the trip in detail.

These are my top 4, but I am sure I will be adding to the list summer. Make sure to check back for updates, and I am working on my top airbnb post as well so stay tuned!
