Happy New Year #DearFam! I feel like I always say this every year, but 2024 went so fast! I was reflecting and thinking about how so much went wrong or not the way I expected, but when you think about the goodness of God and how he showed up in so many ways… I’m so grateful. Every year we do a family New Year shoot, and this one by far is a favorite. We not only photographed our family, but also shot our first drop of our #DearHome Vintage Collection (which I will share more of later).
2024 I learned so much about myself and my family. My kids are steady growing and at times its hard for me to keep up. Between their schedules, social life, and my work life it can be taxing. One of my focuses for 2024 was to be more intentional and present with my family. For the past few years I was traveling a lot for work. While I miss and enjoyed those times, I am glad life settled down last year so that I could be present for the most important moments. Averi has really blossomed in first grade, Aubri is continuing to come out of her shell, and Ashton has matured so much in a year (he thinks he is 16 and a model). When it comes to my marriage I couldn’t ask for the most loving and understanding spouse. I truly don’t know how he puts up with me half the time, but we balance each other out. God knew exactly what he was doing when he put us together.
As far as our business goes, I have 0 complaints… Ok I take that back. Running a studio can be challenging especially since there is still a level of customer service that we have to deal with. Somedays are harder than others, but overall I am proud and excited that we were blessed to open a second location. We also finally got permits approved for the Studio house, so that is finally being built (a separate post to update y’all coming soon). We will have 3 locations in 2025, so prepare to be sick of me and all the interior design projects. Between our home renovations and the studio house I will be sharing tons of home content in the new year.
I feel like I am consistent for a while on the blog then life happens and I fall off. This year I want to be intentional on sharing on the blog and building a community here. Social is always just a quick highlight of my life and here I can share way more. I am planning to share a post every Friday (can’t believe I’m typing this), and sprinkle in a few post in between. Y’all hold me accountable and message me if I fall off, but I am going to try my best to get my blog life back!
In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite photos from our New Year shoot.
Happy New Year #DearFam and many blessings to all of you!
Aubri is officially 8! The kids are growing so fast and I keep thinking where is time going? Every year she wants to either go to the beach, or to a waterpark for her birthday. When I showed her Lagoonfest Texas online, her eyes got so big and it was an immediate reply of “Can
It’s vacation season! The weather is warming up and the trips are calling all of our names. Just book the trip, take this as your reminder. We just came back from Jamaica, and while we were on the trip so many families stopped us complimenting our outfits throughout the week. This is what we do
