Back to School on a Budget

I have been counting down towards this day, and today is the day; Ashton’s 1st day of school! We went to orientation the other night, and I could just cry seeing him in his classroom and hugging his teacher. He was so excited, and even got to do a fun project with his teacher during orientation.

Now let’s rewind to my prep session to get him ready for his first day of school! With his school’s supply list in hand, WalMart was my go-to option because I was able to get everything I needed on the list in one place! Talk about making my shopping life easier, and most importantly everything was super affordable. 

They had every single supply that I needed for Ashton, and I even got myself some new sharpie pens. I love the backpack options as well; we were on the hunt for a second backpack to keep at his grandparents house! I couldn’t believe how affordable Ashton’s camo backpack was, being under $5! There were so many options to pick from, and Aubri of course picked out a sequin backpack that was only $12. So I got two backpacks for $17 and still had money to get all of the supplies I needed without going over my budget! 

I’m all about my kids being fashion-forward, and WalMart has so many cute looks that will have them looking fresh from head to toe. I loved these denim shorts because they have the adjustable waistband, and this tie-dye v-neck tee that coordinated with his backpack. Ashton has to wear tennis shoes with elastic shoe laces to school, so these were the perfect find! From jeans, shirts, and the perfect hoodies and sweatshirts for fall, WalMart has all the top picks for children’s wear.
