A month over due on this post, but here we are! I still can’t believe my baby girl turned 5. She wanted a cheerleader theme birthday party and I had no idea how it was going to turn out, but I am in love. I was a cheerleader in high school and my favorite part about cheerleading was cheer camp in the summer; so that is how I came up with the theme Cheer Camp.
The day of the party I feel like everything that could possibly go wrong with the party went wrong. The original vendor for the bounce house cancelled due to the rain. A mirror that I ordered didn’t deliver in time. The cake (which was so good, but they did a horrible job on making my vision come to life) was orange and not RED. Went to pick up Averi’s cheer uniform from alterations and it wasn’t ready in the morning as promised. Let’s just say I don’t know how we pulled this party off, but we did!
Many of you sent messages about the graphics and I made them all on Canva. From the custom cups to the cheer camp shirts, all graphics were made on Canva and then sent to different vendors for printing. If you are throwing your kiddos birthday party I suggest custom merch and logos to make the party stand out. I got this idea from LiketoKnow.it because they do the best job at branding at all of their events. Doing custom tees are also a great gift for your guest as well. If I would have planned the party earlier they would have been sent out as invites to the party, but I’ve been so busy I totally dropped the ball on that detail.
Mommas, get creative and if you are in Houston I have listed out a few of my favorite vendors that I used for Averi’s party. Let me know in the comments whats your favorite part of the party!!!
The Dream Bounce House: They literally came through last minute for us! Highly recommend!! They also have a tarp that can go under the bounce house in case the ground is wet from the day before.
Everything is so cute, but those personalized pizza boxes are my favorite detail. Love how you pulled it together despite the circumstances! Well done Shay
This post is sponsored by Walmart, however all thoughts and opinions are mine. School starts in 8 days, and my kiddos are so ready! The girls are excited that they get free dress days at school, where they can ditch their uniforms and wear what they like to call their “cool clothes”. Since it stays warm
This post is sponsored by Walmart, however all thoughts and opinions are mine. Today’s post is a full circle moment for me. I remember going summer shopping with my mom and cousin when I was in middle school at Justice and picking out the trendiest pieces. I loved the entire store, and even wore the
One of the most common questions I get is “Where do you shop for the kiddos?”. Here is a quick list for reference, and I am sure you are already shopping at a few of them now. My one tip is I always shop ahead. So if I see something that I love but it
