Isn’t it always a good feeling when something comes back in style, but then you wish you could shoot yourself because you start to ask yourself why you just didn’t keep that item from years ago?! This is exactly the feeling I had when the Adidas Superstar trend started. I use to have these particular shoes in the color shown, as well as the white pair with pink stripes. I guess this is how people felt when bell bottoms and flare jeans came back in style?!?!
Ok, so enough already with the Stan Smith sneakers, they have literally been seen everywhere right? I am guilty of wanting a pair again because they are so comfortable. This particular shoe can be worn with a dress, a suit, and obviously with athleisure. Even Ashton has two pair of these kicks, and he wears them with everything.
These shoes and Adidas tee was one of my Christmas gifts, and I wanted to figure out a way to wear it with something that I already had in my closet. You may have seen me in this vibrant blue suit before (here) and I wore it with heels. There is nothing wrong with grabbing a suit out of your closet, throwing on one of your favorite tees, and rocking tennis shoes. I am all about comfort these days, and I feel like I can run around with the kids, but head to a business meeting if needed with my heels that are in the car, and button my jacket to hide the logo.
I challenge all of you to pair something old in your closet with a new trend (or should I say a throwback trend that became popular again).
