The perfect spring dress & Austin Travel Guide

This weekend we went to Austin to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday, and lets just say we had way to much fun. My body is still tired from the weekend, and even Ahmad is feeling drained. I guess we can’t hang out like we use to.

Where to stay: We rented a condo with a group of friends through turnkeyvr.com which was one of the best decisions ever. Way cheaper than a hotel for sure, and we were able to cook and have a home on vacation experience. I loved the fact that we weren’t cramped in some hotel room and were able to even park in a garage and really feel like we were at home chilling. Turn Key Vacation Rental is affordable and has really great listings to pick from.

Favorite Places to Eat: One of favorite spots to go to while in Austin is Little Lucy’s Little Donuts. The miniature donuts taste like little funnel cakes that melt in your mouth. My mouth is watering thinking about them. I wish I could order some to be delivered. Ok, enough of my cravings! We also went to J Blacks to eat for Ahmad and his friend Justin’s birthday. The burgers and pizza were both a hit!

Where to go: Rainey St. is super popular and my favorite part is the food trucks. There are tons of bars (which are all free) to hang out at. They have great music and as you can see in the pictures activities such as ping pong. Ahmad and his friends played like 30 rounds of ping pong, and had a blast. All of the places are dog friendly, which is cool to a certain extent, but hey its Austin! We also hung out around West 6th street as well during the night, and once again I found myself at a food truck at 3am.

The weather was so good during the day, which allowed me to wear the perfect spring dress. This sheer dotted dress is perfect for this transitional weather. I paired it with a denim jacket to make it a little more casual, and added my Adidas all star tennis shoes which was perfect for all the walking we were doing. This dress is super affordable from Zara, and also comes in a blouse version as well (which of course I bought). I can also dress up this LBD and add on a pair of heels for a girls night out.
