Motherhood is the hardest, yet most rewarding job that I have ever had. Not only are you concerned about being the perfect mom, and not making any mistakes, you also have to worry about how to jump back in to shape and look good. I admit, I am not the stylish mom everyday. Its hard to try to do that every single day realistically, but effort is what counts the most. Many people ask me how do I do it, and I can honestly say I have no idea. I get up around 4am everyday to feed Ashton, and Ahmad toss and turns until Ashton is done eating to put him back to bed. I feel like I always have bags under my eyes, and my hair is all over my head. Talk about minimal sleep, and right when you close your eyes you hear you baby move, and you pop up to make sure everything is okay. The transition phase into motherhood is still a work in progress, but I wouldn’t change anything!
Ashton is a little over 6 months now, and shopping for the both of us has been a challenge. I swear there are so many cute little girl clothes, and very few boy styles. I mix and match all of his clothing, and just make it work. I am not into the onesies, unless he is at home (I know I’m weird), and graphic tees and wovens are his thing! Ashton received a care package from my mom’s sister, Aunt Sharon, with this super cute baseball shirt and matching hat. I couldn’t wait until he was big enough to wear it!
I’ve been contemplating buying a denim skirt, but as you can see it was one of my fall denim must haves on my last post. I got the longer version because its easier for me to bend down with Ashton and not expose myself. I can pair it with any top, and transition it into my fall wardrobe as well. You will be seeing this skirt on repeat, I’m warning you now! Have you went shopping for your fall denim yet? If not its not to late, several stores are heavy in denim right now for back to school which makes it the perfect time to shop for it.
