Just a few days left until Father’s Day, and every year I’m always trying to figure out exactly what does Ahmad need or want. A few of his favorite things are cologne, sunglasses, a causal woven, and a nice back pack to haul around Ashton’s diapers and change of clothes. Trying to upgrade his items from what I bought him the year before is becoming more and more of a challenge. This year, besides getting him present, I am praying that Aubri is born on Father’s Day. I feel as if that would be the greatest gift I could give him.
Ahmad is such a great father, and is so hands on! He puts our son to bed every night and feeds him his dinner while I get to shower and get myself together for the next day. I love the bond that he has with Ashton, and can’t wait to see how he interacts with Aubri.
Father’s Day makes me take a look back and think about how we met, and how we have grown now into a family of four.
How We Met…
Ahmad and I met when we were visual managers at Abercrombie and Fitch in Sugarland, Texas. Ahmad saw me sitting in front of the store, and believe it or not he said he was going to marry me when he saw me. I of course thought he was crazy and played hard to get for a while. What a lot of people don’t know is that I was the one who asked for Ahmad’s number. We continued to work together, and Ahmad would always bring me lemonades to work (my favorite drink), and won me over! All of our friends laugh because they say all it took was a lemonade. 4 years later we now have a son, and a daughter on the way. I wouldn’t imagine life differently or without him. Ahmad is a great father, husband, and my best friend!
