#DADLIFE

View Post jump arrow down

Whats up y’all? It’s me Ahmad, the man usually behind the lens. I am taking over Shay’s blog for a few days for her Father’s Day posts. I was not excited about this, but hey I am here. I am more comfortable behind the camera, but I kind of had fun shooting with Shay while she forced me to take pictures.

Dad life to me has been a rollercoaster ride, not knowing what to expect. I have realized that I am not going to know everything, but I want to a good role model and Father figure for my children. It is fun and I enjoy to see Ashton and Aubri enjoy the simple things in life, like jumping in the bed.

I have learned patience, which is something I didn’t have before. It takes me double the amount of time to get ready now, and try to get all of us in the car. Two car seats isn’t a joke fellas! I told Shay she is going to be rolling in a mini van if we have one more.

I have experienced unconditional love from them as well. To hear Ashton say “WUV YOU” or have a big smile on his face when I pick him up means the world to me. Aubri loves for me to hold her, and it makes me feel so loved. I am grateful for Shay and the best gift she could ever give me is our two children. Aubri’s birthday is on Father’s Day and what better gift is it to have and hold her!

I was nervous about having them back to back at first, but I have enjoyed every second of it. Their personalities is what is crazy to me. Ashton is a true character (he gets that personality from his mom), and Aubri is more relaxed and chill (like ME). Dad life to me has been great, and I want to thank my DAD for being such a great example of what is to be a Father. I hope my children grow up and see how much I love them, and at the end of the day appreciate me being their DAD.

Well thats all for now, Shay said I will be back tomorrow with gift ideas for Fathers Day!
