Aubri’s birthday is on Father’s day this year, and we are so excited. We have been planning her birthday party for a while now, and I had a few ideas up my sleeve. At first I wanted a DONUT theme, but then I changed to Lemons! What better way to celebrate your birthday in the hot sun, than with a fresh glass of lemonade. I cant wait to start setting up the house for the event, and celebrate her first year with family and friends.
I wanted to share her invitations because I know many of us have ditched the mail and send out everything via email. Well yes, I am still old school. I love the concept of writing names and addresses, placing a stamp on the corner of an envelope, and sealing the envelope. Call me old fashion if you want, but I think that paper invitations are more personal. I am also slightly a hoarder and want to keep everything for the kiddos in a scrap book so we can look back at these things. My aunt sent me my pictures from my first birthday for mothers day, and I was in awe. Its for the memories! What are we going to do when the cloud expires and all of our digital pictures are gone! I know I am being dramatic, but hey I need some excuse on why I wanted these invites right!?
If you are hosting an event anytime soon, I suggest you go with Minted.com to select invitations to go with your theme. They had several lemonade invites for me to pick from, and the process was simple and easy. I loved how I had the choice of picking pictures from my computer to upload onto the invites. They will also send you a proof via email to confirm your order before they process and print. It was simple and easy, and all I had to do was write the names and address on the envelopes. You can get the names printed, but I love to write and make it personal.
I will be sharing a recap of Aubri’s cake smash and birthday party soon! It will be a little delayed as we are celebrating after her birthday.
Happy Monday Everyone!!!!
