Aubri Turns ONE

View Post jump arrow down

Aubri turned 1 last month, and I didn’t realize how much work it could be having a 1 & 2 year old running around the house! Aubri is such a doll though, and I couldn’t imagine life without her. This year has went by so fast. I feel like I was just writing her birth story on the blog. She has grown so much in a year, and is so sweet! I love when she calls me “MOMA” and says “POR FAVOR” when she wants something. Aubri is also a little greedy gut! No one can eat anything in the house without her having a bite.

I was so sad that she didn’t walk on her birthday, but this girl literally does things when she wants to. The next few days she was a walking machine. She was walking so fast it looked as if she was running. It was the cutest thing to see her try to keep up with Ashton. Having a daughter is such a sweet moment for me. She loves purses and I am like OMG Ahmad! I don’t know what you are going to do when Aubri get old enough to pick out her own handbags.

I love planning events, and planning Aubri’s birthday was so special to me. I could be girly and do all the girly things I couldn’t do with Ashton. We all know that our children first birthday party is really for the mom, and I use that to my advantage when decorating and planning. I am a low key procrastinator, but the day of the event its crunch time for me. We went out of town before her birthday party, and didn’t come back until the day before. I was all over the place, and the house was a hot mess! With help from my friends, we were able to pull it all together before guest started rolling in.

I went with cupcakes and lemonade because who doesn’t love a good cupcake and sweet lemonade? I had the theme in my head for months, and one day saw a cute lemon dress at Zara which was confirmation. I didn’t want everything to be to girly because I hate ruffles and frilly things. So I paired her lemon dress with a black bow and her Vans to make it a little more fun and edgy!

Hope you enjoy the pictures!!!! I will be sharing her cake smash soon (Even though she wouldn’t smash the cake…)!
