Recently my husband and I have this new thing to tour our city! Yes I live in the major city of Houston (at least thats just the easy way to explain things), but we actually live in a small suburb outside of Houston. The downtown area has so much history, and so many mom and pop shops in which we enjoy.
As my blog continues to grow, I want to explore and travel more (now that I am not pregnant and can get out and do things). We have a few trips planned coming up, and I want to make sure I can share great style options for you all while traveling, as well as show you some good local places you can go to if you live here in the Houston, Texas area. To follow this journey, all you have to do is click the new TRAVEL tab on the home page!
Ok, now that we have the housekeeping out of the way, lets talk about snow cones (shaved ice as Houstonians call it). In Dallas, I use to go to the snow cone shack all the time with my friends. Believe it or not I got my first ticket when I was speeding to the snow cone place in high school.
My husband and I stopped by Bob’s Snowballs for a small treat to cool us down from the hot sun! They are so friendly, and have several flavors to pick from. I am a simple girl so I always get cherry or strawberry, nothing to fancy.
(How cute is their little boom box! I wanted to take it home, so vintage!)
I know you are all thinking why in the world do I have on all this black in 100 degree weather?!?! Well, black is my favorite color, and I couldn’t resist this cute banana republic dress that has been on repeat. I paired it with my booties (which are a fall staple for the upcoming season), and my new bucket bag that I got for under $35 from the Nordstrom Sale. If you haven’t shopped the sale its not to late, and you can find all the details here on my post I did a few weeks ago.
I will be back for more of Bob’s snowballs this summer, and I guess I’ll try a few new flavors to step out of my box!
